Red Hat Summit and DevNation 2016

Modernizing your enterprise application architecture

Session Speakers
Session Description

Microservices remains a very popular topic, yet there's a huge install base of monolithic applications in production today along with the infrastructure to manage them. In this session, we'll: - Compare and contrast the two architectural styles, when to consider each, and the impact of cloud environments on them - Discuss a path for introducing microservices into the enterprise, rethinking application architectures and navigating many language and platform options like Vert.x, Node.js, Red Hat JBoss EAP, WildFly Swarm, and Spring - Demonstrate how a monolithic application can work together with microservices that were created using multiple platform technologies in a cloud environment. At the end of this session, you'll understand the trade-offs between monoliths and microservices and a concrete approach to introducing microservices into your enterprise.
